Baby Update...

On Monday, I went to see the doctor. I am now just a little over 22 weeks. They took my blood pressure, took my weight, and did a urinalysis. We heard the baby's heartbeat, beating at 150 BPM. He measured me and I am measuring right on. He thought it would be funny to see what I should measure at at 40 weeks. I thought Jake was going to fall out of his chair when he saw how much more I needed to grow! I got to pick out a yummy flavor for my glucose test on March 25 to make sure I am not getting gestational diabetes. So all is well. I go back on March 25 and will keep everyone posted.

Alesha said...: I am dying to see a pic of you! Lucky for me(well maybe) my doc lets you eat a king size snickers or drink regular old Ocean Spray juice for your glucose test. A good excuse to indulge in a candy bar, but I think I may go with the juice!; March 3, 2009 at 2:58 PM

Where It All Began

Jake and I got engaged on Halloween 2006. Jake went to the pumpkin patch and bought us each a pumpkin to carve. We each carved our pumpkin and as I was taking the insides of my pumpkin out I found a black box inside of a plastic baggie. I was kind of freaked out at first, but when I took the box out of the baggie, Jake was getting down on one knee and then he asked me to marry him. He had secretly put the ring inside of the pumpkin from the bottom and then put it back together with a few small nails. I was shocked! I had no idea that he was going to propose to me when he did. I thought it was very creative and cute of him to think of something so different.
