Becci and Tommy
On Saturday night August 23, 2008 our friends Becci and Tommy had a BBQ at their house for Tommy's 30th birthday. Tommy's and baby Tico's ( featured in the previous post ) birthday's are on the same day, August 20. Tommy and Todd ( Tico's dad ) are very good friends, it is cool that they share the same birthday.

On Saturday August 23, 2008 our friends Todd and Stacie had a birthday party at their pool and clubhouse for their little boy Tico, who turned 1 on the 20th.

Friends Baby Shower

On Saturday August 16, 2008 I hosted a baby shower for my friend Dani. She is having a baby girl in September. Dani and I went to scrub tech school together then we both started working at St. Mark's Hospital doing hearts. In January 2007 I hired her to be an assistant with me. So I have known Dani for about 7 years now. One of the doctors that we work for was nice enough to let me have the shower at his house, since we invited about 40 people and my house was not big enough. I served a lite lunch then we opened gifts. Luckily it was a great day outside and we were able to use the patio and backyard.

Overholt and Magana Wedding

On Saturday August 9, 2008 we went to our friends Sean Overholt and Mekensy Magana's wedding. They have dated for a few years now and when Sean started dating Mekensy it was so funny because she was on drill team with me, she dated my brother, and I have know her and her family for quite some time. What a small world!! Sean was one of Jake's college roommates and played baseball with him at the U of U. Sean and Jake have stayed close friends and golf every Sunday. So when they started dating and she would come hang out with Sean and our friends, I already knew her. They got married and had their reception at La Caille. They wedding was great and Mekensy looked beautiful. We had such a blast!

1 Year Anniversary

So today is my 1 year anniversary. I can't believe it has been a year already! It seems like yesterday that I was putting the finishing touches on my big day. Since our anniversary is today (Monday), we decided to celebrate over the weekend. We started the weekend off by opening the gifts that we bought each other. I got Jake a black Callaway golf bag and some clothes and he bought me a black leather Coach bag, which I love. We went to Park City and went down the Alpine Slide and the Alpine Coaster. The Alpine Coaster is awesome by the way. We then went into Heber and had lunch at the Spin Cafe. Later that evening we went to dinner at one of our favorite resturants Asian Star then to the movie Stepbrothers. What an amazing first year of marriage we have had. Jake is one of the nicest and sweetest husbands around, I am truely one of the luckiest girls alive.

Wedding 2007

Jake and I got married on August 4, 2007. We had our ceremony at the White Community Memorial Chapel on Capitol Hill. We had our celebration at a family member's backyard. We then headed to San Diego for our honeymoon. I can't believe it's almost our one year anniversary!
